HealthSpring Medicare Plans in Arizona

HealthSpring is the Medicare brand of Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), one of the largest health insurers in the country and an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association. If you had a Cigna Medicare plan in the past, HealthSpring is where that coverage lives now.

Formerly Cigna Medicare

In 2025, Cigna sold its Medicare business to HCSC, including its Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and prescription drug plans. HCSC brought those plans together under the HealthSpring name. Cigna no longer offers Medicare plans directly, so if you’re looking for “Cigna Medicare” in Arizona, you’re looking for HealthSpring.

If you were a Cigna Medicare member, your plan may now carry the HealthSpring name, with new ID cards and plan materials. Review your Annual Notice of Change each fall to see what’s different for the coming year.

Plans HealthSpring Offers

Medicare Advantage (Part C). These plans combine your Part A and Part B coverage into one plan, and many include prescription drug coverage. HealthSpring offers HMO and PPO options, along with Special Needs Plans for people who qualify. Depending on the plan, extras may include dental, vision, hearing, and fitness benefits.

Medicare Supplement (Medigap). These plans work alongside Original Medicare to help pay costs like deductibles, copays, and coinsurance, and they let you see any provider that accepts Medicare.

Prescription Drug Plans (Part D). Standalone drug plans for people on Original Medicare who want help with medication costs.

Plan availability, premiums, networks, and benefits vary by county and change from year to year.
